"Scaling Up Student Success" was the theme for Camp Snowball 2014 held July 14-18 in Portland, Oregon, USA. “How do we create the conditions and structures that enable all students to be successful in ways that are meaningful to all the stakeholders in the system?” was explored throughout the week at Portland State University, base camp of Camp Snowball. Hosts for the whole week were Peter Senge, Jaimie Cloud, Charlene Williams and 12th Grader Jayaram Ravi. Opening session was at the Portland Art Museum, followed by a Willamette River cruise on the Portland Spirit for dinner, conversations, and a tour by water. Provocateurs during the week were Elaine Johnson and State Representative Lew Frederick. Learning journeys, Lookout Point sessions, Project Marketplace, PechaKuchas, World Café conversations, and 14 hours of capacity-building core modules of one’s choice made it a truly enriching 5 days. Bel Villavicencio, SOL-Ph Executive Director and SOL Global Board member was joined by School Directress Joan Bondoc-Antonio and Eric Cruz, both from Benedictine International School based in Quezon City.
